Okay, You and You, But Not You

Lord you have truly given me your eyes to see and your ears to hear! Thank you tami for this one!!

Lessons by Heart

Mary noticed the hushed conference between master and servant, their animated gestures, the panicked looks. She followed the servant back to the kitchen and discovered that they’d run out of wine. There were still several days of the wedding feast yet ahead.

“What to do, what to do!” the servant exclaimed.

Mary summoned Jesus and made Him aware of the situation. He seemed to mildly rebuke her, stating that His time had not yet come.

She knew her Son, though. To the servants she said,

“Whatever He says to you, do it.”

These are the last recorded words of Mary – and excellent counsel; but I don’t want to stop here.

Jesus instructed the servants to fill the water pots to the brim with water. Then He told them to take some to the master of the feast.

I wonder what the servants were thinking as they sought out this…

The Law of The Garbage Truck

Best advice ever!!!

Morning Story and Dilbert

How often do you let other people’s nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you’re the Terminator, for an instant you’re probably set back on your heels. However, the mark of a successful person is how quickly she can get back her focus on what’s important.

Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here’s what happened. I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car’s back end by just inches!

The driver of the other car, the guy who…

The Answer is a Person

Amen!!! A must read…once again Ben puts it where the rubber meets the road!!!

Kilen's Spot

Over the past months I have been reading and contemplating the New Testament like I never have before. I now understand that the answer is not about me or what I can do. I have previously been or had a mindset that it was about ministry,  about making a difference, and changing the world. It’s not about me or anything I can do. The answer is a man.  His name is Jesus. He was and is I AM. Prior to the creation of the world he knew me/you and he liked what he saw.

Growing up as a kid I had some pretty odd thoughts. I saw God as a creator and I saw us as guinea pigs.  Something he created for fun, but I now know that he created us to be sons and daughters.  We were created in his image. He spoke identity into me prior to the…

Note: The Prosperity Gospel

Information Hub

The Prosperity Gospel

The Prosperity Gospel is a term known by many but people really don’t understand it. God tells us that if we have faith as the size of a mustard seed anything is possible in his name.

Many people don’t realize that . Their are preachers who tell their members this concept and they too live by it that’s why they call it prosperity. I’m not sure if you have heard of this Christian rapper who made a song named fal$e preachers but she made a song about preachers who she think are false prophets.

I have said it and I will say it again if you’re not God you don’t have the authority to call anyone a false prophet. One of the preachers she listed was Joel Osteen.

I am very familiar with Joel Osteen and his preaching style. Joel uplifts his members and he tells them…

Got Troubles?

Larry Who

gospel-for-asia-TD13-00752

In my younger and single days, my alarm rang at 2:55 AM. I jumped out of bed, went to the bathroom, and put on sweat pants and a sweatshirt. I next bowed my knees and prayed till 6 AM at which time I took a shower, ate breakfast, and dressed for the day.  I then walked over to my church and prayed for an hour. Afterward, I put in a full day’s work as a laborer or a car salesman.

This was my routine for almost ten years.

As you can imagine, I earned a reputation as a prayer warrior. People asked me to pray for them or their problems, which I gladly did. I would write their names down and add them to a list. Praying for others was a priority in my life.

But what about my family and my needs?

I usually spent just seconds praying for…
