Possessing My Possession

I just have to share this rich and honest post full of wisdom given in way that inspires me to grow up and be all that god intended for me to be. This writer speaks from the heart and experience in the way that leaves no room for denial or victim mentality. A must read for anyone struggling to possess the promise land!!!

Lessons by Heart

When God sets us free from bondage, there are some things we need to know:

There is a Promised Land for us

– which does not refer to heaven (because…)

There are giants in the land!

(And there are no giants for us to fight in heaven!)

There is work for us to do.

God will not do for us those things which we are capable of doing ourselves.

After all, what good parent continues to tie their child’s shoes or dress him or her when the kid is in high school? Good parenting has mature, functioning adults as its goal.

Taking possession is not simply a matter of stepping onto property, but requires winning victories – one “city” at a time.

God may take down the walls of a stronghold, but our part is to destroy the residents within.

This will take effort; it will take courage; it will…

The Face Behind The Name

Linda - The Face Behind the name Prodigal Chick

Linda – The Face Behind the name
Prodigal Chick

We are all Prodigal Sons & Daughters at some point or another, running around in darkness with our eyes hidden from the truth, dazed, confused, and hurting.

I have had my fair share of desert experiences and prodigal seasons in my life time.  I felt the Prodigal Chick Avatar was fitting for symbol and meaning.

I married my highschool sweetheart – AJ.  When we met we immediately knew we were meant to be…..   We have now been married 32 years and have been together for 36 years.  We are miraculously blessed and very thankful and proud of our daughter Kristi and our son Kyle.  We are triple blessed by our grand-daughter, Emma.  I love the Lord and have given Him my life to do what He Will – which may sound super sweet but it is a tough gig to follow.  I love my husband, family and friends. I would rather give than receive.  My happiest and most joyous times are in praying, serving and reaching out.  My life is blessed to be a blessing.  I write to share, encourage, and make laugh.  I am passionate about what I believe in – Jesus, love, justice and doing what God leads me to do.  I love meaningful music, especially songs that tug at the heart-strings.  These days I especially like country because a good bit of the country artist are singing about Jesus and turning hearts to Him.  “This is me in a “nutshell!”

This is not my Bible but this is what my Bible looks like except mine has a hundred or a thousand sticky tabs on the top and sides, I just haven’t got around to taking a picture…….

This looks just like my Bible

I’m not going to say too much this morning.  At New Day Lloyd Rindels opened quoting Galations 2:18-20 out of  The Mirror Translation.

18 Only a con artist will try to be a law-man and a grace-man at the same time!

19 My co-crucifixion with Christ is valid! I am not making this up.  In his death I died to the old system of trying to please God with my own good behavior!  God made me alive together with Christ.  How can any human effort improve on this!

20 The terms, co-crucified and co-alive defines me now.  Christ in me and I in him! His sacrificial love is evidence of his persuasion of my righteousness!

If you have read any of my blog in the past this is probably the common thread,  your identity is in him! He defines you not your actions or abilities. If I could do anything…

Love You Like Jesus

“I love you deeply, unconditionally, forever and beyond.”

–Gina CianfaraniProdigal Chick

To love deeply, unconditionally, forever and beyond is to love like Jesus does.  My prayer is that I am so saturated in the love of Jesus, that I love you like Jesus does!!  When I look at you, all my eyes can see is magnificent beauty, completely spotless with no stain or wrinkle.  My eyes can’t see an offense or one crooked bend.  When you are down on yourself and have a brokenness in your heart, I have nothing but love for you.  When you fall short and fall back, I will just love you like Jesus does!  Oh, how I long for the day when I look on you, looking through the eyes of love, my first love Jesus Christ!

Women love your men and Men love your women, like Jesus does!  Moms, Dads, Sisters, Brothers, Friends, Neighbors and every living, breathing soul, love each other like Jesus does!  Love never fails, saints or sinners……

Sing it Eric Church   “Like Jesus Does”   http://youtu.be/RGF6c0tjAgI

I’m a long gone Waylon song on vinyl.
I’m a back row sinner at a tent revival.
She believes in me like she believes her Bible.
She loves me like Jesus does.

I’m a left foot leaning on a souped up Chevy.
I’m a good ole boy drinkin’ whiskey and rye on the levee.
But she carries me when my sins make me heavy.
She loves me like Jesus does.

All the crazy in my dreams,
Both my broken wings,
Every single piece of everything I am.
She knows the man I ain’t,
She forgives me when I can’t.
That devil, man, he don’t stand a chance.
She loves me like Jesus does.

I always thought she’d give up on me oneday.
Wash her hands of me leave me staring down some runway.
But I thank God each night and twice on Sunday
That she loves me like Jesus does.

All the crazy in my dreams,
Both my broken wings,
Every single piece of who I am.
She knows the man I ain’t,
She forgives me when I can’t.
That devil man, he don’t have a prayer.
She loves me like Jesus does.

Yeah she knows the man I ain’t.
She forgives me when I can’t.
That devil, man, he don’t stand a chance.
Cause she loves me like Jesus does.

I’m a long gone Waylon song on vinyl.

Until next time, This prodigal chick love’s you like Jesus does!

God Still Performs Miracles

Today I want to share a FB post that touched me to my core.  I believe in miracles and I believe that Jesus Christ is Alive and doing well, still going about doing good!  Be blessed today and every day!

MY TESTIMONY

My name is James. I and my wife Sandra got married 14yrs ago and since then we had no child. As Christians, we still believed God for a baby at the due time. Finally, my wife got pregnant and everything was alright. On the day of delivery, I was driving her to the hospital and suddenly our car collided with an on-coming lorry and we had a fatal accident. My sister narrated it thus:

”We had a call from the police through the identification found on you that you and Sandra were in the hospital. When we came to the hospital, the Doctor asked us to sign some documents so that an operation could be performed on Sandra to bring the baby out. The baby came out alive but Sandra was declared dead while I was in comma with my two legs broken. In the night, a man clothed in white appeared to me and touched my head. From that moment, I started sneezing. After 5mins, I sat up and became a little strong. Then I asked, ‘where is my wife’? Then, somebody the next door started sneezing too. That was Sandra. ‘She’s alive, she’s alive’, the nurses shouted. Sandra also narrated that the same man clothed in white who touched my head also touched her head. Few days later we were discharged from the hospital. My broken legs have also been restored and I can walk perfectly too.

Today, I, Sandra and our daughter named Miracle are all alive. What was supposed to be our happiest day turned out to be a sorrowful day but we thank God for today. Ladies and gentlemen, God exists and still performs miracles, even the miracle of bringing the dead to live.

Now I decree that:
1. Nothing will cut your joy short on the happiest day of your life in Jesus name.
2. I command every dead thing in your life to come back alive in Jesus name.

The Gift

Packaged in the person of Jesus, is every gift we will ever need to fulfill every longing we will ever have. It will take a lifetime to unwrap the essentials for our present day and an eternity to unfold the glories of our future. But start now,  for a great wealth of gifts have already been given to us.   –Pastor Jack Hayford of California
